Jennifer O’Brien Moving Studio, Gallery into New Location

Multi-talented artist and teacher Jennifer O’Brien is creating a new future, with a fresh name and a new location.

O’Brien, a former tenant in the Chemainus Public Market, will be moving into the space currently occupied by Bound to be Different on Willow Street in downtown Chemainus.

Chemainus artist Jennifer O’Brien has found a new home for her studio.

The name of the studio is Bramble & Brush Arts and O’Brien hopes to be moved in by the first week of June.

“I have yet to pick an opening day, it will most likely be a soft opening in the first week or so in June with a grand opening July 1, with an open house,” says O’Brien who had a successful one-year run in the Public Market, selling her own work and giving classes in various media.

A multi-disciplinary artist herself, O’Brien ran an award-winning studio in Kamloops for eight years before coming home to Chemainus to live.

“My personal works reflect a love of the woods and its creatures,” she explains.

Bramble & Brush Arts will offer a gallery, retail art supplies and classes. The address is Unit 3 – 9739 Willow Street.

Bound to be Different, owned by Amy Hughes, will be moving two doors over, next to the Christmas Store.
