Chemainus has a long list of amenities including businesses, recreational opportunities and entertainment possibilities.
Too often, folks don’t realize what is right before their eyes. In an effort to change that, Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce director Roy Summerhayes is organizing an event that will showcase the community’s assets.
“Chemainus is a caring community, and we have so much to be grateful for,” says Summerhayes. “Yet it is easy to be complacent about who we are and what we have.”
To highlight everything Chemainus has to be proud of, the Chemainus Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents and businesses to participate in an event on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Michaels Church, 2858 Mill St in Chemainus for the 2nd annual Our Chemainus – A Celebration.
“We will promote the many organizations, groups, and businesses that form the foundation of who we are as a town,” says Summerhayes. “We want to highlight Chemainus as a great place to live, work and play.”
There is no fee for being a part of the celebration.
“Our target audience is the residents and businesspeople of Chemainus,” says Summerhayes, adding Our Chemainus – A Celebration will be an ideal place for businesses and organizations to connect with volunteers or supporters, customers or potential staff members.
