Nothing goes together like a hot summer day and ice cream.
This Saturday, July 19, Kin Beach Park in Chemainus will be the site of the Ice Cream Social, an event that is sure to a special treat.
“This event is all about good times, great flavours, and making sunny memories by the sea, suggests Krystal Adams of the Chemainus Business Improvement Association.
“Local vendors will be scooping up all your frozen favourites to help you beat the heat in the most delicious way.”
There will be a refreshing variety of frozen treats from Vancouver Island makers including: Ice cream from Lickity Dippity, ice cream sandwiches from One Cool Cookie, frozen yogurt from Bite Me Cookie Company and fruit ice cream from Mizu Real Fruit Ice Cream.
Adding to the fun will be live music, bubbles floating by, and face painting and games to keep the kids entertained.
“It’s the perfect afternoon out,” says Adams. “Pack a picnic blanket, bring your friends and family, and enjoy a laid-back summer celebration at the beach.”
The Ice Cream Social runs from noon until 3 p.m. at Kin Beach Park in Chemainus.
